How much does each sandbox size cost?

Each of the four sizes has one hourly price, metered per second. These are the figures on Sandboxer's pricing page, in US dollars:

Every size is the same machine with the same features; only the resources change. Your balance is counted in seconds of default time, and one dollar buys 100,000 of them. Larger sizes use that time faster: large at 2x and xlarge at about 5.56x.

What do the plans include?

A plan sets how many sandboxes can run at once and how fast you can start them, and it includes a month of machine time equal to its price. The plan fee is not on top of usage. Included time renews monthly and does not roll over.

The xlarge size needs the $100 plan or higher. Upgrades are prorated and take effect at once; downgrades apply at renewal.

What happens when you need more time?

You buy time packs. Each pack costs $20, uses the same rates, and never expires. Plan time is spent first, then packs. Auto-refill can buy packs for you when your balance falls below a threshold.

If a balance reaches zero with auto-refill off, new creates, resumes and forks fail, and running sandboxes keep going for a 24-hour grace period. After that they are stopped with memory and disk kept, so nothing is lost.

Is storage billed?

No. Each plan includes storage for stopped sandboxes and named snapshots, and storage itself is not billed. Running sandboxes do not count. An account with no plan includes 10 GB.

When you reach the limit, new sandboxes, forks and named snapshots wait until you free space or upgrade. Going over never deletes anything, and it never blocks stopping, resuming or deleting.

Is there a free trial?

No. New accounts don't get a trial; plans start at $20/month. The first month is charged when you subscribe, and plans renew monthly until you cancel. Signing up, the docs and the dashboard need no card.
