Transformer
How do you run an influencer campaign from an AI agent?
Connect your agent to Transformer's MCP server at https://transformer.gg/mcp, choose the brand or creator workspace it acts for, and ask it to do the work: get suggested creators, send offers, pay for the ones creators accept, track verification and report sales. The agent handles the coordination, while creators still write and publish their own posts. Nothing is charged when an offer goes out: the brand pays only after a creator accepts.

What is Transformer's MCP server?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a standard way for AI assistants to use outside tools. Transformer runs an MCP server over streamable HTTP that exposes the same actions as its dashboard and REST API. Transformer describes both sides as equal API users: nothing is dashboard-only, and using the MCP server costs nothing extra.
Tool inputs mirror the REST request bodies, and results come back as the same JSON the API returns.
How do I connect an agent?
There are two ways to authenticate:
| Method | Best for | How it works |
|---|---|---|
| Sign-in (OAuth 2.1) | MCP clients that support sign-in, such as Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT and Cursor | Add the server URL, sign in with X and pick the workspace the agent acts for. Revoke it later in Settings → Agents. |
| Workspace API key | Headless agents, scripts and CI | Create a key starting with tf_live_ on the workspace page and send it as a bearer token. |
In Claude Code, one command adds the server:
claude mcp add --transport http transformer https://transformer.gg/mcp
For a headless setup, add --header "Authorization: Bearer $TRANSFORMER_API_KEY". Any client that reads an mcp.json file can point at the same URL with the same header. Asking the agent to call whoami confirms which workspace it's acting for.
What can a brand's agent do?
With a brand workspace, the tools include:
suggestionsandwrite_asksfor X creators matched to the brand's website, with a short ask written for each;search_creatorsandadd_creatorsto find creators by keyword or handle, or add ones that aren't indexed yet;send_offersandcreate_offerto send offers to one or many creators;pay_offersto pay for accepted offers within 72 hours, from the balance first, then a checkout link;cancel_offerfor an offer that hasn't been accepted, or an accepted one that isn't paid yet;list_offers,get_offerandoffer_statsto follow progress;report_conversionto record a sale.
Sending an offer costs nothing. The brand pays only for offers a creator accepts, and the creator posts only after that payment.
What can a creator's agent do?
A creator workspace lets an agent list incoming offers, accept or decline them, list accepted deals with their next step, submit the URL of a post the creator published, and check earnings, balance and payout requests. It can also save payout methods and request payouts. It cannot post on X, because Transformer never posts for creators.
What guardrails keep an agent safe?
- One key or connection, one workspace. An agent acts for exactly one brand or creator and sees nothing else.
- Nothing is charged until a creator accepts. Offers go out unpaid, and paying for an accepted offer is a separate step within 72 hours.
- The agent never moves money. Payment is held once the brand pays and released only by verification.
- You're responsible for your agent. Transformer's terms treat what an agent does with your key as if you did it.
- Revocable access. Keys can be revoked from the workspace page and sign-ins from Settings → Agents.
Are there any limits today?
Yes. Paid offers run on X only. Webhooks aren't available yet, so agents poll offers and stats for changes. If you'd rather not use MCP, the same actions are in the CLI and REST API.
Frequently asked questions
Can Claude run an influencer campaign?
Yes. Connected to Transformer's MCP server with a brand workspace, Claude can get suggested creators, send offers, pay for the ones creators accept, follow verification and read clicks and sales. Creators still write and publish their own posts.
Does using MCP cost extra?
No. The MCP server, CLI, REST API and API keys are free. Agents and people pay the same 20% platform fee on payouts and commission.
Can one agent run several brands?
Each key or sign-in acts for one workspace. To run several, give the agent a separate key or connection for each.
Where are the MCP tools documented?
In the MCP section of Transformer's developer docs at transformer.gg/docs.
Does the agent pay creators directly?
No. Payment is held once the brand pays for an accepted offer and released automatically when the creator's post passes verification. The agent never moves money itself.
