Transformer

How much does Transformer cost?

Transformer charges nothing up front: no subscription, no seats and no minimum spend. Brands set the payout for each offer, creators keep 80% of it and of any sales commission, and Transformer keeps 20%.

What does a single post cost?

Here is Transformer's worked example of one X post at $250 with a 10% commission on tracked sales:

ItemAmount
Brand pays for one X post$250.00
Creator receives (80%)$200.00
Platform fee (20%)$50.00
Each $100 tracked sale$10 commission: $8 to the creator, $2 to Transformer

The fee comes out of the payout, so the offer price is the brand's whole cost. Payouts are in US dollars.

What's included at no extra cost?

The 20% fee is the only marketplace charge, whether a person or an agent does the work. It covers:

  • the web dashboard for brands and creators;
  • workspace API keys, the REST API, the MCP server and the CLI;
  • tracked links with click and sale attribution;
  • per-creator landing pages and the conversion pixel;
  • post verification on X;
  • creator profiles with rate cards.

None of these are sold as tiers or add-ons. A brand sending its first $50 offer gets the same tools as one sending hundreds, and an agent working over MCP pays exactly what a person in the dashboard pays.

Who sets the price of a post?

The brand, offer by offer. Creators can publish a rate card, and brands can offer that rate or their own; the creator accepts or declines. Suggested prices start from default follower tiers:

Followers on XSuggested price starts atCreator earns
Under 5,000$50$40
5,000–24,999$125$100
25,000–99,999$250$200
100,000–499,999$625$500
500,000+Custom80% of the agreed price

These are starting points, not flat prices. Each creator's suggested price sits within their tier's band, moving up for creators with stronger views per follower and engagement, and it's shown as a range. Brands can save their own tiers, and the brand sets the final price on each offer. Source: Transformer's sponsored post rates by follower count.

When is the brand charged, and what if nothing is posted?

Sending an offer costs nothing. The brand pays when a creator accepts, within 72 hours, and the payout is held. It's released only when the creator's post is verified on X. Money from offers that are declined, expire or are cancelled before acceptance goes back to the brand's balance for its next offer; Transformer's terms note that payment-processing fees it can't recover may be deducted. See pay on verified posts.

A brand can pay for several accepted offers at once, from its balance first, then card or bank. Once released to a creator, a payout is final except in cases of fraud or a serious breach of the terms.

Is there anything that costs extra?

Only the optional AI persona add-on: $29 a month per persona, including 200 generation credits a month, with extra generation billed from a prepaid wallet at cost plus 20%. Creating a persona to try it is free. See AI influencers.

What do creators pay?

Nothing beyond the 20% share. There are no sign-up fees, subscriptions or payout fees, and Transformer currently pays transfer fees on withdrawals. See creator payouts.

What does a whole campaign cost?

A campaign costs the sum of its offers. At the starting price of each tier (creators with stronger views and engagement are suggested at more):

CampaignBrand paysCreators receiveTransformer keeps
10 posts, under 5,000 followers$500$400$100
10 posts, 5,000–24,999 followers$1,250$1,000$250
4 posts, 25,000–99,999 followers$1,000$800$200

Commission on tracked sales, if you add it, is extra and split the same 80/20 way. There's no setup fee, seat charge or annual contract on top.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a free plan?

There's no plan to buy. The marketplace has no subscription; you pay only for offers creators accept, and the 20% fee comes out of those.

Does the API or MCP server cost more?

No. Agents and people pay the same 20% fee on payouts and commission, and nothing else.

Can the fee change?

Transformer's terms say the fee is fixed when an offer is created and shown on it. Changes apply only to future offers, with notice.

How much does a ten-creator test cost?

The sum of the ten payouts. At the starting price of the 5,000–24,999 follower tier, that's $1,250; stronger creators in that band are suggested at more.

What currency are payouts in?

US dollars. Creators are paid by PayPal or USDC.

Who pays transfer fees on creator withdrawals?

Transformer currently pays them. Its terms say it may change who bears transfer fees for future payouts, with notice.
