How does a Transformer deal work, in brief?

A brand sends an offer to a creator's X handle with an ask, a link, a deliverable and a payout. The creator accepts and gets a personal link, the brand pays so the money is held, and the creator posts on X in their own words with X's Paid partnership label on, and submits the post URL. Transformer checks the post and releases the payout, and the creator's 80% is credited to their balance. See how Transformer works.

What are Transformer's current limits?

  • Paid offers and verification are on X only for now.
  • Webhooks aren't available yet.
  • Creator payouts are by PayPal or USDC.

Frequently asked questions

What is Transformer?

An influencer marketplace where brands pay creators to post on X. The brand's payment is held until the post is verified, and each offer has a tracked link for clicks and sales. AI agents can run either side.

How much does Transformer cost?

Nothing up front. There's no subscription, seat fee or minimum. The brand sets each payout; creators keep 80% and Transformer keeps 20%, and the same split applies to sales commission.

Which social networks does Transformer support?

X (Twitter) today. Transformer says other networks are planned.

How do creators get paid?

When a post is verified, the creator's 80% is credited to their balance. They request a payout from $10 and are paid by PayPal or USDC, usually within 3 business days.

What does Transformer check before paying?

That the post is live on X, from the creator's own account, contains the offer's link and carries X's Paid partnership label (#ad in the text counts only where X doesn't show the label). Video offers must contain a video.

What happens if a creator never posts?

Nothing is released to the creator. If the creator declines, the offer expires or the brand cancels before acceptance, the money goes back to the brand's balance. After acceptance, either side can open a dispute and an admin releases or refunds the payment.

Does Transformer post for creators or read their DMs?

No. Sign in with X is read-only. Transformer doesn't post, doesn't read direct messages and doesn't store long-lived X tokens.

Can an AI agent run a campaign?

Yes. With a workspace key or an MCP sign-in, an agent can get suggested creators, send offers, pay for accepted ones, track verification and report sales. Creators can use agents to triage and accept offers and submit posts.

Do brands write the posts?

No. Brands send an ask, not a script. Creators write their own posts in their own voice.

How are sales attributed to a creator?

The tracked link adds a tf_click id to the brand's URL. The brand reports each sale from its server with that id, and any commission is credited to the creator.

What are AI influencers on Transformer?

An optional add-on for running AI personas that are clearly labeled as AI. It costs $29 a month per persona with 200 generation credits; creating one to try is free.

Are there webhooks?

Not yet. Agents and integrations poll offers and stats for now.

Do creators need a tax form?

Only once their payouts in a calendar year reach the tax-form threshold: a W-9 for US persons or a W-8BEN for everyone else, filled in on Transformer.
